The Journal of Ancient Architecture - a new journal
«The Journal of Ancient Architecture» seeks to fill a gap in current scholarly publications on the Ancient World and Architectural History. The main focus of the Journal is the Ancient Mediterranean region, broadly defined (including Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa), and the period between 1000 BCE and 500 CE. Contributions pertaining to different geographical areas and periods are welcome, particularly if significant from a comparative perspective. Articles may focus on individual buildings, framing the analysis within a larger historical and methodological perspective, or they may address larger issues, including architectural theory, specialized writing and depictions of architecture, architects, patronage, materials and techniques, functions, ancient and post-antique reception, historic preservation, and historiography.
